Intro
AKA is a collective of tattooers and artists from around the world. The space in Berlin, Neukölln is it’s home. It houses a team of resident tattoo artists and regular guests, as well as a gallery space and piercing studio.
History
AKA was founded in 2009 as a multi-disciplinary arts space, which encouraged tattooers from different artistic backgrounds to explore and develop their style.
Over the years the studio has hosted some of the strongest names in modern tattooing and collaborated on countless projects and exhibitions as it strives to keep tattooing progressive and open to all.
Team
Today the AKA family, although widespread, remains united by a shared passion and respect for body art that continues to challenge cultural norms. The studio is a queer positive space which is proud to open it’s doors to everyone.
Piercing
The piercing service is one of Aka’s key components since its begining in 2009. And for us it is essential to give a comfortable, sterile and personalized service.
We do facial, oral, corporal and genital piercings, paying special attention to our customer’s experience, hygiene and the materials we use. We work only with high quality jewellery, which have a material, size and shape, that ease a secure and rapid healing.
